Astonishing Chronicles of Those That Go Out in the Path of Allah

Seven Hundred Years

In The Name of Allah, The Merciful, The Compassionate

A Jamat of Arabs had gone [for Tabligh] to Tajikistan and on their way out a man called,

“Seven hundred years ago the Arabs came to us. They gave us the Kalima [La ilaha illa’llah, Muhammadur Rasulullah]. Today after seven hundred years have we seen you. For Allah’s sake! This time don’t wait seven hundred years. Keep coming.”

There are Muslims who don’t know the Kalima. They repeat it a hundred times and yet they can’t even pronounce it correctly. Who is going to teach them? Who is going to take this responsibility? If it’s not your responsibility and if it’s not my responsibility, then whose responsibility is it?

The greatest, most exalted human being, Muhammad Mustafa صلى الله عليه وسلم because of this very concern had to face stones. He had to get his teeth broken. He had to leave his home. Had to tie rocks to his belly. Had to hear expletives of the unbelievers. He had the intestine of an animal placed on his back while in prostration. He faced stones. He got wounded. Only for Tabligh. And now his very Ummah needs explaining that Tabligh is their work. Tablighi Jamat is not a Jamat [Group] of any one person. In fact, every Muslim is a Muballigh [Conveyer] of Islam.”
